The Gayton Kirk

Growing in Jesus Christ through worship, study and missions

To worship God and enjoy God forever. Our primary purpose is to worship
God together, then we respond to God by loving our neighbor. On this page you can find information on worship and mission at the Gayton Kirk.

There are many opportunities throughout the year for Bible study, fellowship, and spiritual growth.  Call the Kirk at 741-5254 if you have questions or if you want to know more about how to get involved.
Worship Services at the Kirk

Every Sunday there are two worship services at the Gayton Kirk. At 11 AM there is a more traditional, hour-long service that includes prayer, singing, and a message from the pastor.  At 5 PM there is a Celtic worship service which lasts half-an-hour.  That service also includes prayer and singing, but has a time for discussion and reflection instead of a sermon.  Sunday School classes are at 9:45 AM.

Evening Prayer is held in the sanctuary every Wednesday at 6 PM.

Opportunities for Fellowship and Spiritual Growth

The Gayton Kirk Book Group
This group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month to eat together and discuss a book that all members have read.  The meeting rotates between participants' houses.  Previous selections have included The Gift of Rain and The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski
New readers are always welcome!  Call the Kirk at 741-5254 for directions to the next meeting.

Women of the Kirk
Women of all ages and interests join together monthly for a lively discussion and Bible study. These women take seriously God's call to care for our neighbors and regularly provide assistance for those in need. The meetings are held at The Gayton Kirk, 11421 Gayton Rd, on the second Tuesday night each month at 7 PM.

Weekly Bible Study
Every Wednesday at 7pm, members of the Kirk gather to dig into the Bible.  Together they study the Scriptures, learn about faith, and keep their spiritual lives exciting and healthy.  All are welcome, no preparation is required!

Mission Opportunities
at the Kirk

The congregation works together to provide financial support to global and local organizations.  We also provide opportunities for members and friends to contribute time and assist hands-on with some organizations' work of compassion.
